Refund & Cancellation Policy

I want every engagement to work out — but I understand that circumstances change. Here's how cancellations, pauses, and refunds are handled.

Retainer

The first payment on every project is a non-refundable retainer. It compensates me for committing to your project and turning down other work during that time.

Cancellation by Client

You may cancel a project at any time by notifying me in writing (email is fine). In the event of cancellation, all remaining scheduled payments will be cancelled and a cancellation fee equal to 25% of the total project cost will apply. This fee compensates me for all work completed up to the point of cancellation and for turning down other projects.

Pausing a Project

If you need to pause and reschedule an active project, all remaining scheduled payments will be cancelled and restarted when the project resumes. A pause fee equal to 25% of the total project cost applies. This fee compensates me for holding availability during the paused period.

Inactivity

Projects are automatically paused after 4 weeks of inactivity. A project is considered inactive when I haven't received any communication from you for at least 4 weeks, or when I've been waiting at least 4 weeks for information or assets needed for the current stage of work to continue. An inactivity fee equal to 25% of the total project cost applies to cover the delay.

Cancellation by Me

If I need to cancel a project for any reason, I will immediately notify you, issue a refund or credit based on the percentage of services not yet rendered, and excuse you of any further payment obligations.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds are not available for the non-refundable retainer, completed and accepted work, changes of mind after delivery, or requests that fall outside the original agreed scope.

Force Majeure

Either party may be excused from further performance obligations in the event of circumstances outside either party's control, such as natural disasters, war, or other hazardous situations. In such cases, I will notify you immediately and issue a refund or credit for any services not yet rendered.

Disputes

If something isn't right, I'd rather hear about it directly so we can sort it out. Reach out to me and I'll work with you to find a fair resolution before anything escalates. In the event of a dispute resulting in legal action, the successful party will be entitled to its legal fees.
